This week, three of the Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs volunteers underwent training in tour guiding from Anthony M Lewis, who has been delivering tours of the Dinosaurs for several years.
Sarah, Francesca, and Ryan learned about techniques for speaking to groups, how to deal with disruptions, and general tour management.
Anthony provided a framework for presentation of facts about the sculptures, their history, and the work that goes into conserving them.
This will provide us with the opportunity to share with you the awe-inspiring sight of these magnificent beasts, up close and personal!
Tours help us to spread the CP Dino love in a way that respects the fragility of the sculptures, which are on the At Risk Register and listed Grade I with Historic England.
We are now preparing to deliver educational tours using our fabulous new bridge for access, and will use our social media channels to promote booking information.
